Day 1: Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met by our safari representative who will assist you onto your private charter flight to Mapula Lodge. The Lodge is in a remote area of the north eastern side of the Okavango Delta. The flight from Maun to Mapula Lodge takes a scenic route over the delta for about about 40 minutes.

Arrive at the superbly comfortable lodge, which overlooks the stunning Mapula floodplains, which you can explore by foot (with armed guide), by mokoro (a dug out canoe) or safari vehicle. Being a private concession area within the Okavango, Mapula also affords you the possibility of doing night game drives. Your guide and Mapula camp management will suggest activities to do, depending on the time of day.

Day 2: Starting early, you will continue your safari activities where you left off the day before. On your armed game walk you will get closer to nature than you ever thought possible. Your mokoro trip through the crystal clear, reed and water lily lined waterways of the Okavango makes for a supremely peaceful experience, perhaps giving you the chance of sighting and floating up the unusual sitatunga, an aquatic antelope species uniquely adapted to its watery environment. On your game drive, you will get close to Botswana’s wide variety of big game, including possible sightings of buffalo and elephant and other animal that most typify this area. On your night drive, witness nocturnal species going about their nightly routines, a special thrill for any safari enthusiast.

Day 3: After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Maun, for your onward arrangements.

Included: Accommodation in luxury chalets,
charter flight from Maun to Mapula Lodge and return, scheduled safari activities; game drives in 4 x 4 open sided vehicles and mokoro rides (campo rides), game walks and night drives - depending on the time of the year. All activities are escorted by expert guides. All meals, refreshments and beverages (including table wine). Please note that the selection is local and limited. Imports and selected wines are on a cash bar basis. Limited laundry service (not daily).
