Motsentsela Tree lodge and transferred by vehicle to Leroo-la-Tau (about 1.5
hrs drive) where you will spend the next two nights. Summer time on the Boteti
is a bird
watchers paradise and the bush is green and verdant. The winter months feature
large-scale migration of wildebeest
and zebra into
the area with the attendant predators such as lion

their thirst. Keep an eye out for some of the pan’s more unusual game
species such as bat
eared fox, cheetah
and hartebeest,
which are sometimes seen. Return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon
rest before heading out again for your late afternoon drive. At sunset keep
a special eye out for the brown
hyena, which inhabits this area but is seldom seen due to its shy and
nocturnal nature.

a light breakfast. See giraffe

channels. After another satisfying day of game viewing, retire back to your
camp and share your day’s experiences around a warm and glowing campfire.

DAY 9
Again we depart early and start to explore
some of the numerous waterholes dotted around the Savute marsh. Your guide
will also take you on a tour of the seven
rocky outcrops around the marsh and show you the Bushman
paintings, which point to the ancient livelihoods of those who once used
to live in the area. Back on the marsh, chances are good to see the Savuti
lions, supreme
predators of the area. Spectacular zebra
migrations, which periodically take place on the marsh, are a sight to behold
(November - March).
After a busy day’s game viewing, we return to our camp for dinner and
to reflect on the awesome splendour that is Savuti.
Overnight: Savute
Safari Lodge
Location: Savute
(Chobe National Park)
DAY 8
From Xugana a charter flight takes you to Savuti (about 40 minutes). This area is very different to the others, very dry and inhospitable after all the water in the delta. The lodge is superbly luxurious and overlooks its own water hole. Days are spent game driving around the dry Savuti marsh and lazy hours are spent watching the bull elephant monopolise the water hole. Look out for the lion coming to drink in the early evening.
Overnight: Savute

DAY 10
The charter flight from Savute Safari Lodge
to Kasane takes another 45 minutes. At Kasane airport you will be met by a
guide from Chobe Game Lodge and transferred (20 minutes) to the lodge in the
park. Chobe Game Lodge is a little bigger than the others you have stayed
at but you will be spellbound by the sights on the Chobe
River. In the late afternoon opt for a game drive or after the dry Savuti
area you might be tempted for a sunset cruise on the Chobe River.
Overnight: Chobe
Game Lodge
Location: Chobe

boats. You should see 100’s of elephant
and buffalo

DAY 12
You will be collect by mini-bus from Chobe Game Lodge and transferred by road to Victoria Falls. It is a 1.5 hour drive and you will be assisted through customs and immigration.

Activities at Victoria Falls are not included in the cost as there are so many options. You can choose from white water rafting, river boarding (surfing the rapids), kayaking, bungee jumping and many more activities. Or simply visit the falls and wander around the park opposite the water falls. It is easy to plan your program once you are at Mariolina’s.
Overnight: Mariolina's
Guest House
Location: Victoria
Falls
DAY 13
This day is spent at leisure with the opportunity
to do river rafting or take pleasure in other leisure activities. There is
far more to do at Victoria Falls than to only marvel at the falls themselves.
Upstream, the Zambezi
plays host to the famous 'sundowner' cruises, excursions on the river
to watch the local wildlife while gently sipping a glass of champagne and
partaking of a light snack.
Overnight: Marolina's
Guest House
Location: Victoria
Falls
DAY 14
There is a spectacular excursion to be made
on foot. The rainforest on the lip of the chasm opposite the falls is a unique
swathe of dense tropical vegetation, which thrives on the spray thrown up
throughout the year. A well-kept path takes visitors on a walk through the
forest, with occasional diversions to viewing points of the falls. The ultimate
view of this natural wonder can only be seen from the air. The 'Flight of
Angels' provides a fabulous vista of the upstream river and its many islands,
the spray from the falls as it is kicked one thousand feet into the sky, and
the tortuous zig-zag of the gorge downstream.
To absorb all these experiences can take many days.
Overnight: Marolina's
Guest House
Location: Victoria
Falls
DAY 15
On the last day you will be collected from Mariolina's
and transferred to Victoria Falls airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
